Dear Diary, I am extremely upset that my baby son has been stung by a scorpion. I keep thinking back to the day that he got stung, and feeling deeply regretful for not being able to protect him. I am a lousy father. I cannot even afford to pay for a doctor now. His condition is deteriorating day by day. I feel so helpless.
I need money for him to see the doctor. I cannot bear to watch him die. Yet, I cannot find any pearls to sell. Whatever I find seems to be pearls of a low quality. No traders are wiling to pay me a fair price for the few pearls i have. Am i destined to be stuck as a poor pearl diver?
